HOW ARE VOLUNTEER HOURS TRACKED?
After you make your items, you must fill out the Volunteer Hour Log Google form (different for each chapter) with the amount you made and number of hours (guidelines are written in the form). Then, our executive team will look over your response and record your hours on the Volunteer Hour Log spreadsheet. To have your hours "confirmed," however, you must drop off the items to us. Please email your chapter for details about drop offs.
ARE MATERIALS PROVIDED?
We provide various materials for volunteers including fabric, elastics, origami paper, and star stripe. You can pick up the materials by filling out the pick up google form and attending our volunteer sessions. Please email your chapter for details.
HOW DO I DROP OFF OR PICK UP MATERIALS?
Each chapter has their own pick up/drop off policy. Please email your chapter for details.
HOW MANY VOLUNTEER HOURS DO I GET?
Currently, we are giving out one hour for 2 mask made . 3 cards will be recorded as one hour. 10 origami pieces will be recorded as one hour. For the jar of positivity/stars, 20 stars will be recorded as 1 hour. Volunteer hours are susceptible to changes.
CAN I USE MY OWN MATERIALS?
Is Essential C.A.R.E. a 501C3 Non profit organization?
Yes, you most definitely can! All Materials are provided for whoever needs them, but feel free to use your own materials! Just make sure to use 100% cotton fabric for masks!
