WHAT IS ESSENTIAL.C.A.R.E? 

 Essential.c.a.r.e aims to provide care packages for the people most inclined to experience negative feelings during COVID-19 such as essential workers, COVID-19 survivors, and elderly in nursing homes. Our purpose is to uplift their day by providing small care packages that can aid them through this difficult time. The contents within our packages include jars of positivity, cards, masks and other essential items to promote mental wellness during this crisis.

HOW CAN I HELP?

There are multiple ways to contribute to essential.c.a.r.e! You can be a mask, origami, Jar of positivity or card creator! You can also donate to us, through our go fund me link on our home page, or even donate to us by providing 100% cotton cloth, Star strips, small snacks or Elastic.

ESSENTIAL WORKERS

Constantly working around the clock right now to treat COVID-19 patients, risking the possibility of them and those closest to them contracting the virus, causing many to feel stressed and anxious.

COVID-19 SURVIVORS

Despite having battled COVID-19,many still have struggles to face despite recovering from COVID-19. 80% of those put on ventilators suffer from ICU delirium, which affects their mental health. We hope essential.c.a.r.e care packages might brighten their days.

ELIZABETH WANG

 President & Founder

Elizabeth Wang is a high school senior residing in California and is the founder and president of Essential C.A.R.E. Elizabeth founded Essential C.A.R.E. as even though there were many other organizations providing PPE, she felt as though it was just as important to focus on mental wellness for those who needed it the most. Creating care packages to provide mental support to get through this tough time. Asides from working for Essential C.A.R.E., Elizabeth enjoys gymnastics, ceramics, and spending quality time with her friends.

SUMMER YOU

Summer You is a senior living in California and is currently on Essential C.A.R.E.'s Board of Directors. Summer believes in contributing and giving back to society, and she joined Essential C.A.R.E. because their mission focuses on not only the physical but also mental wellbeing of those who are most affected by current crises. As a member of the BOD, she aspires to collaborate and synergize with the officers and volunteers and to help Essential C.A.R.E grow and succeed. In her spare time, Summer enjoys baking, singing, painting, and traveling around the world.

SEJAL KANIKARAM

Sejal Kanikaram is a senior in California and one of the board of directors of Essential.C.A.R.E. Seeing the struggles of those affected by COVID-19 inspired Sejal to find ways to help them and brighten up their day. Sejal enjoys baking, watching TV and spending time with her friends.

ANISHA CHAWLA

Anisha Chawla is a senior at Cupertino High School and is a member of the Board of Directors at Essential C.A.R.E. Wanting to help out the community during this particularly difficult time, Anisha joined Essential C.A.R.E. She wants to show the essential workers, who are selflessly risking their lives every day, how much she appreciates and admires them. Anisha hopes to help provide care packages that will not only brighten their days but also provide emotional support. Besides volunteering, Anisha enjoys drawing, participating in debate tournaments, listening to music, and spending quality time with her friends.

NICOLE HAN

​Nicole Han is a senior at Cupertino High School and currently serves as one of the Board of Directors at Essential C.A.R.E. Seeing those struggling with mental health during the pandemic, Nicole wanted to provide both physical and mental aid to those affected by natural disasters. As a Board of Director, she is determined to support the first responders and most vulnerable in communities around the nation. Outside of Essential C.A.R.E., Nicole enjoys traveling, photography, and eating.
